A two-level course for children who have never studied a language before. The NMC is built around the story of a family living in the real world—Mom, Dad, twins Paula and Jack, and baby Daisy—as well as the fantastical "mice world" of Spike and Ruby. Happy House 1 introduces English through speaking and listening, while Happy House 2 offers a slow introduction to writing and reading. Each section of the textbook ends with a page of stickers that serve as a review of vocabulary items and a summary of the material covered.

This comprehensive course, which teaches reading in English from the very beginning, fosters moral values and promotes good behavior in everyday life. It is designed for varying hours. It prepares for testing from the very beginning and has a clear, easy-to-use structure.
The comprehensive course begins with a preschool textbook, First Friends, which can be used optionally. Afterwards, children move on to Family and Friends. A third of each section is devoted to working on basic language skills. The progressive approach focuses on writing, reading, speaking, and understanding English.
One of the six lessons is dedicated to reading comprehension, where children learn to recognize and pronounce English sounds. Flashcards are used for this purpose in levels 1 through 3, and additional tasks are provided on MultiROMi for students.
The supplementary component (Photocopy Masters Book) for levels 1-2 includes 15 photocopiable pages dedicated to developing students' moral values. A test booklet (Testing and Evaluation Book) and a test builder on CD (Family and Friends iTools) help teachers assess student progress. One lesson per page with clear objectives simplifies lesson planning. Additional resources, including the Grammar Friends series, adapted readers, the Teachers Resource Pack, and CDs (Family and Friends iTools), allow teachers to focus on teaching additional skills and adapt the CMC to different numbers of teaching hours per week.
